The Line is a sculpture emphasizing the courage to let go of unbeneficial bonds in life. It highlights the bravery of recognizing and breaking free from relationships that limit our growth and well-being. The piece is a powerful metaphor for the emotional strength needed to prioritize our dignity and self-respect. It celebrates the act of releasing detrimental ties, not as a sign of weakness, but as a bold assertion of self-care and personal evolution. The Line is a testament to the courageous spirit of individuals who dare to make tough choices for their betterment, embracing the transformative journey of letting go.
The Knot
The Knot is a knot that can not be tied up without cutting ties, a so-called Gordian knot. The Knot symbolizes the strong bonds we have in relationships. It can be relationships between a mother and son, the relationship to a country or religion but also to our origin, nature and our planet. Bonds that are very difficult to break.
I aim to highlight and remind us of what truly holds value.

Each knot is handmade in earthenware and hand painted, therefore they differ slightly in shape, each knot is unique. The Knot is a knot that can not be tied up without cutting ties, a so-called Gordian knot.
